March 15, 2024 -- Sarah Schwarz, president of the PSU Foundation, has been named a 2024 Women of Influence by the Portland Business Journal. The award series celebrates women across the city who are making an impact, cultivating change, and bringing the community together.
Schwarz’s visionary leadership in guiding the PSU Foundation through periods of significant change and growth was a key factor in her selection. Under her leadership, the PSU Foundation has successfully completed its first-ever comprehensive fund-raising campaign, raised three of the largest private contributions in university history, surpassed the $100 million endowment mark, and made Oregon Business’ list of top nonprofits for three years running.

"Sarah’s innovative thinking tends to foster dialogue and drive opportunity,” said PSU President Ann Cudd. “I have no doubt that Sarah will continue to drive transformational change because she energizes others with her visions for the future.

For more than two decades, the Portland Business Journal has been honoring women changemakers with this award series. An honoree is considered an established business leader with a strong record of innovation in her field, outstanding performance in her business and a clear track record of meaningful community involvement, especially elevating women.
